Awesomeness B-)

Buku Paul Arden ini mestinya 7 bintang. Keren parah!

Buku ini keren dalam berbagai level. Arden mengajarkan kita berpikir beda. Gak cuma itu, dia mengajarkan kita dengan cara yang berbeda pula. Dia memasukkan ilustrasi yang menegaskan cara berpikir beda itu. Membaca buku Arden seperti melihat film, pengalaman visualnya sangat seru. Oke, daripada kebanyakan teks, aku kasih contoh bagian buku Arden aja yah. πŸ˜€

Steal

STEAL

Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination.

Devour films, music, books, paintings, poems, photographs, conversations, dreams, trees, architecture, street signs, clouds, light and shadows.

Select only things from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic.

Authenticity is invaluable.

Originality is non-existent.

Don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it.

Remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: β€œIt’s not where you take things from. It’s where you take them to.”

DON’T BE AFRAID TO WORK WITH THE BEST

The best people can be difficult. They are single-minded, they have tunnel vision. That’s what make

them good. They are reluctant to compromise.

They can be intimidating, especially to the young, but if you approach them with an attitude that you want to do something well, they will respond positively.

Because they want to do something well too.

And if you are clear about what you want and strong about getting it, though there may be arguments, they will respect you (if not at the time, afterwards – I didn’t say it was going to be easy).

The chances of you coming away with a superior job is not guaranteed, but it’s greater than if you had worked with Mr. Average Nice Guy.
